Does anyone know to what address USCIS mails the AP. Is it the lawyer's office or is it the home address?
I am planning to move and information on this will be very helpful. Thanks!
I have a similar question -- the USCIS site says document mailed on Dec 26th, but I am yet to receive it. I have not heard from the Lawyers either. USCIS mailed the receipt to the lawyers but EAD to our home, what's the deal with AP - home or lawyers?

EB2-I PD announcement, which is a black hole coincided with CERN Big Bang Machine. After watching History Channel (they explained details, how this CERN Colloider can create dark matters and black hole) in mid night, PD announcment turned morning bad.
USCIS is as chaotic as Big Bang and its announcements hits like Black Hole.
It was so bad news, that I could not see any further, what is happening to others.

My case was wrongly put in the TR catagory for 2 years despite my efforts to get the Phili center to correct it. It was finally put into RIR in April 2007 while other cases are being approved with later PDs...... Maybe I shall wait 3 more months since they promissed to have it done this September????!!!!

Let's push that on through. We can later on use our imaginations to solve any �bigger" immigration issues.

I am on H1 w/ valid EAD . Got my labor and 140 in 05 and recently renewed by EAD.
There are 2 situations, to my case , though I am not sure how unique or otherwise they are :
-- My Immigration Labor petition promised me some $20K more than what I had made 05-09 period.
Far as I can see, GC Is prospective. This was for a Managerial level position to which I was planning to advance and will probably do so. So the position I am working in now and the prospective GC position as indicated in the labor are different.
- I left my sponsoring company briefly since my US client placed me in UK , where the payroll had to run directly and not through my company .So for 07 there was no W2 and income. 08 there is just income for last 5 months and it was lower that all prev years
-now I want to go back to India in 2010 Jan . and work from there for sometime. There will be no US income .
Right now EB2 is stagnating and never moved up since last 3 months .
I want to know given the above history
-- is there serious possibility of GC reject based on your wise exp
--- can I stay in India and when my category becomes current the gc is mailed back to me in India ?>

I think you bring up very valid points. For a lot of ppl who have stayed away from family/extended family for so long, they may not like the constant interference.
"I miss my parents" is not quantifiable but what about the paying back the debt by supporting your aging parents? Let me make the question a little broader, isn't every immigrant divided between doing what's best for the children and supporting the parents?
yes they are indeed. I took care of this as my sisters and parents have immigrated to New Zealand, work and live happily there and will be covered by a great social security system.
also, they do not need a visa to visit me after they get their citizenship (in the next year or so) and I will not need one to visit them after I get mine in the next decade or so.......... :-))
as for what is best, we should all ask our parents and they would say do whats best for your kid because that is what they did. they did their best for us and we should do the best for our kids as they should do their best for theirs........

ICICI is best if you have short term trip and wants to finish paper work quick. Even you can do it while sitting here , Only thing you need to send a Power of attorney from here through Embassy.
If you have long term trip and somebody known within SBI/LIC. Then their terms and conditions are too good. No Pre-payment Penalty.
There are less paper work involved if you buy it from Builder or First sale. You should be careful while buying second sale or most of the people ask Black money first , even before starting the bank paper work.

we need to write to Sen Joe Lofgren now more than ever..she will try to push the legal bill..also we need to write to her to compensate for some of the waiting time ...so that it gets counted for the citizenship..at least from when the I-485 was applied..I think we will see some sort of push for this ..my only concern is that we again will get caight with the illegals and our issue will be pushed to the side

Well they do process millions of applications - H1's , EAD's , GC's ' I-140 , Labor and so many different kinds of visas and other applications . I must say that they are trying even if they are not succeeding. It is probably due to shortage of manpower and experienced personnel. Another problem is that the money that they get from all the application fees which is a very significant amont ( greater than a billion ) some of it is diverted to other programs rather than hiring more workers for USCIS .
I guess we can only make efforts via rallies and other actions that IV does to make them realize the delays and streamline their process but the ultimate decision will always lie with USCIS unless a big political figure steps in .
