There seems to be no trend. Mine is non-RIR from 2001 November, transferred from Federal. I have not heard anything after receving 45-day letter in May 2005. Recent case status from BEC says my application is awaiting further review by a BEC analyst. One day, it might be approved. Incidentally DOL web site says still 17 months remaining for backlog removal.:D We should see light at the end of tunnel after another 1 1/2 years.

I am the person who originally compiled the information. I am in the process of appealing the first SSA denial and I am in touch with my local congresswoman about this. If you want to get involved, please let me know. Also, I recommend that everyone contacts his or her congressman/congresswoman even if you are not directly affected. Most legislators are not even aware of how this rule affects people. We need to stop groups like FAIR from pushing through more legislation that discriminates against immigrants.
Finally, if the SSA denies my appeal, I am planning to file with the federal appeals court. Any ideas on how to go about this are appreciated.
I did not know who started it. Good job for standing up. Please let us know what SSA says about this. In my case everyone in the family have SSNs, so this does not apply to us. But I will support any initiative in this regard.

This is by far the most effective story that highlights the security concerns raised by approving cases that hasn't cleared the background check yet. This could be the big story. It may, however, be the double-edged sword. I think we need to keep this going as much as we can.

we need to write to Sen Joe Lofgren now more than ever..she will try to push the legal bill..also we need to write to her to compensate for some of the waiting time ...so that it gets counted for the citizenship..at least from when the I-485 was applied..I think we will see some sort of push for this ..my only concern is that we again will get caight with the illegals and our issue will be pushed to the side

I dont see anything about the law suit on OH site.
Can someone explain what "Temporary Restrain Order" would do if it were successful. It sounds to me that the lawsuit is asking the court to temporarily invalidate the July visa bulletin so that USCIS will be forced to accept the applications. Is this a reasonable understanding? Any lawyers here?

Guys,
My AP received date if Oct 31, 2007 and I called NSC 10 days back and requested expedited processing due to my dad's illness (Lung cancer). The lady IO was nice and she initiated the process and while on the phone she was typing the required info on their system. Finally she gave me a WTC number and told me to go to local DO if I didn't get the AP within 10 days!
I was so happy!! Following the phone I saw soft LUD on my AP case for 3 days and then stopped. Nothing happened!! I've made an Infopass appointment for local Boston office USCIS and will see what happens!!!!
Anybody got a WTC number?

Not true. Anybody donates will get Donor status. This is started for last few days, so people who donated in last few days get this. Pappu mentioned that he is planning to cross reference this with old donations but not sure whats happening there.

IV has had its first big success this year and we should all be proud of what we can all do. We worked hard and left no stone unturned to get this relief for our members. During the last few days there has been some movement on the National Defense Authorization Act and work on DREAM and SKIL provisions. While we were fully focused on the 485 relief, we did not lose sight of the developments. We have built a positive momentum and have been getting positive signals from key lawmakers. It is now upto us how we can seize the opportunity and focus on the lobbying efforts on legislative front. After seeing the overwhelming support of our members we are also encouraged to move ahead with full steam and explore the possibility of our provisions in the upcoming legislative activities. Not a single penny has been reimbursed to him for his trips to DC, food and stay in DC or car rental in DC. We in the core team know this and when we see the kind of contributions we get from members, we feel disappointed that our efforts are not valued. When we started the $20 contributions people felt $20 was too high and wanted $10 per month or less. Sometimes reading posts that say IV core is selfish also disappoints us. People do not know the effort that goes in getting anything done. Finally got approval e-mail today after 180 bloody torturing days.:mad: Just in time for my travel on Feb 2nd. Still don't know if I will receive it before that.
Just to let you guys know, those of you who have passed their 3 months processing time limit, do make an infopass appointment. I did the same,got LUD in 3 days and approval in a week. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

I am just a reader of IV but this article made me to reply and below are my thoughts regarding the PM

Just wanted to let you know that my EB3 I-140 got approved today. I am a July 2007 concurrent filer. This wait has been frustrating and I've had to let many good opportunities pass by. I had, in the last 2 months, opened 2 service requests. I am not sure if they did the jobor may be the time has come when we will see July approvals coming in hordes.
Good luck to all of you.
