my wife went to mumbai embassy. after intw they said they need some more info in their systems before issuing the visa. It was h1 renewing. But they didn't keep the passport. Told to submit the passport after they sent email or call you. They did sent the email to submit the passport within 2 days.

So I'm in need of an answer for my parents.
They have their green card and have been out of the United States for a little less than 6 months now visiting their homeland. They will be returning in a week but due to a medical circumstance that has happened with my mother overseas, she would need to go back to their homeland so she can acquire her medications and chemotherapy there. What is the minimum amount of time they would have to stay here in the United States until they can go back to their homeland?
I know you can stay out of U.S. for no more than 6 months or their green cards make be revoked, I understand that part but I'm curious if there is a minimum amount of time they'd have to stay here in the Unites States before they can go back overseas so it doesn't look bad when they go through immigration.

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. The idea is that employers would need to register to claim an H-1B cap number first and then if they are selected, they then would prepare and file the case. G4 is not a dual intent visa. She won't able to travel till she gets her advanced parole, which could be long. She will also lose any home leave benefits she may have (if in the YP program). There could be income tax filing issues as well - check with your consultant.

Guys, we should have more rallies like the SJ one in bay area.. the next target can be San Francisco - Civic Center.
There are many official bulidings like City Hall here and we will definitely get heard again.
I always suggested for this type of gathering on roads so as to get heard. THIS WAS A JOB WELL DONE by people who attended and organized.
Finally to gsc and others, save banners and material from the the SJ rally so that we dont have to start from scrach.
For the people who didnt make it, please attend the next one no matter what.
